How it works

The JanAI Cafe is the front door

A local cafe and a trained ambassador help you in person, in your language, on the phone you already own.

Your journey

Walk in. Speak. Or just call.

Four ways in: walk into a cafe, sit with an ambassador, open the app, or make a plain phone call. Whichever you choose, it is free for you, always.

  1. 1

    Walk into a JanAI Cafe

A Doot, the cafe's trained ambassador, sits down with you and asks what you need.

  2. 2

    Speak in your language

Ask Asha out loud in any of eight Indian languages. She finds what you are owed and what to bring.

  3. 3

    Or just call

No smartphone? Call Asha from any handset. The same help, with no app at all.

How trust grows in a village

We did not start with government schemes because they are the most lucrative. We started there because they are the fastest way to prove we are worth trusting.

  1. A Doot meets a household where they already are
  2. Start with government schemesThe thing they are already owed.
  3. The first completed outcome earns the trust
  4. Credit, health, agriculture and jobs follow the trust
  5. The village tells the villageAnd the next onboarding costs nothing.
Inside a JanAI Cafe

A local enterprise, not an outpost

Each JanAI Cafe is run by someone from the area. It is a physical trust point: a place to sit down, ask, and leave with the job done.

The ambassador

A Doot sits with you for the first journey

A first scheme claim or loan needs a person in the room. Doots are recruited and trained with our field partner, Head Held High Foundation, to a JanAI standard, and work on JanAI systems.

75%

of the households a Doot sits down with complete a journey

Meets you where you are

At the cafe, or at your door. You never make your first transaction alone.

Sees it through

Documents, forms, submission and follow-up, until the outcome is real.

Speaks your language

From your village, in your dialect, with Asha working alongside.

Steps in when Asha is unsure

When confidence is low, the journey comes to the Doot rather than a guess.

How the value flows

Free for you. Paid only on outcomes.

Providers pay for completed outcomes, never for clicks. A share of every verified outcome flows to the local cafe, so each JanAI Cafe is an enterprise in its own right.

  1. 1

    A citizen completes a journey

Free at the point of use, always. A scheme claimed, a loan disbursed, a consultation completed.

  2. 2

A provider gains a verified customer

An outcome with consent on file, not a lead.

  3. 3

The provider pays JanAI on the outcome

A share of revenue on that completed outcome.

  4. 4

The cafe and ambassador earn locally

The same ledger that bills the provider pays the cafe operator.

33–66%

of revenue on a completed outcome, paid by the provider, depending on the product or service
